2009 “Sur Lies” Chardonnay **Bronze (San Francisco Chronicle)                                                               $20
Enjoy enticing floral aromas and luscious soft mouth-feel with subtle oak, honey and toasty graham flavors, followed by a smooth finish. Our chardonnay was given prolonged lees contact and batonnage (stirring) allowing it to generate more of the fruit and toasted flavors.
 

2009 Pinot Noir                                                                                                                                                $26
The much anticipated follow-up to our ’06 will not disappoint! This bold Pinot has a nose with a bit of smoke and butterscotch with distinct violet and cola aromas. It continues onto the palate with the same touch of cola and bright cherry along with a touch of vanilla, dark chocolate and spice. It has a long finish and crisp acidity for the varietal. It goes great with hearty dishes and will event stand up to red meat on the grill or ribs.
 

2007 Syrah Bent Creek **Silver (San Francisco Chronicle)                                                                           $23
Deeply hued with a ripe fruit nose, luscious black cherry notes and a balanced, appropriately peppered and slightly earthen finish. After being barreled 18 months in French Oak, it doesn’t disappoint.
 
2007 Cabernet Sauvignon  (Walker Ranch)                                                                                                   $24
Our latest Cabernet Sauvignon started with the high quality of grapes grown at Walker Ranch. After months in American oak, it has matured to offer the rich berry and spice flavors you’ve come to expect from Charles R Vineyards.
 
2007 Zinfandel  **Gold (San Francisco Chronicle)                                                                                         $28
An elegant, balance and smooth sine with great acidity, juicy flavor and wonderful hints of raspberry, black cherry and a lively spicy finish.
 
2008 Petite Sirah  **Silver (San Francisco Chronicle)                                                                                   $28
True to the varietal characteristic and the grape’s deep tradition in the Livermore Valley, it’s an inky and dark-hued wine that greets you with aromas of dark berry, cedar and a bit of pepper. The bold taste has distinct notes of blueberry, cherry and roasted fruit that continues into the finish with a terrific balance, creamy mouthfeel and just a touch of spice and oak.
 
2006 Vino de Amor - Port                                                                                                                                $28
Made in the true Portuguese style, this sensuous, full-bodied port is the result of blending Touriga, Nacional, and Souzou grapes. The fruit is from a small, hand-crafted vineyard in the Central Valley (Tracy).
